October 2026 Virtual Book Club
This October, we’re excited to feature the books of Justice Bell Bey, a Minnesota author whose stories encourage children to think about kindness, inclusion, friendship, and how we treat one another.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time when schools, families, and communities come together to raise awareness about bullying and think about the role we all play in creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for children.
In honor of Bullying Prevention Month, we’re highlighting Justice Bell Bey’s books as a way to spark meaningful conversations with young readers. His stories give children opportunities to recognize bullying, explore empathy and friendship, consider how their actions affect others, and think about what they can do when they see someone being left out or mistreated.
We believe books can be powerful tools for helping children see themselves, understand others, and imagine kinder communities. This October, we hope you’ll join us in reading, talking, and learning together and in supporting local authors and literacy in your own community.
