Sip on brews for the adults 🍺 and cozy up with hot chocolate for the kids ☕
🎶 Stick around for an Open Jam hosted by The Confused at 4 PM to close out the day with live music!
This is a family-friendly event that blends the joy of Halloween with the magic of reading. Costumes encouraged!

Omega D.E.A.R. -- Monthly Children's Book Reading
Start your Saturday morning with us on September 30th for Omega D.E.A.R. at Cafe Marguerite Northeast! Shannon Gibney will be reading her book ‘Sam and the Incredible African and American Food Fight’ as well as a read aloud from one of the Omega Psi Phi Epsilon Rho Fraternity brothers reading ‘Fresh Juice’ by Robert Liu-Trujillo. Grab a delicious coffee or pastries and enjoy. The first five families get a FREE BOOK!!! See you there!

Saturday Morning at the 'Shop
This free, family-friendly event will take place in The Camdentown Flats Gallery, a cozy space adjacent to the Get Down Coffee Co. and the barbershop, FRESH. There will be two identical 45-minute sessions. Each session will begin with 15 minutes for families to grab coffee or a snack from the Get Down Coffee Co. and settle in. The story time will begin promptly at the 15-minute mark, followed by a brief Q&A with the author.
Advance registration is required to reserve your spot. Free tickets are available on Eventbrite. Read With Me MN is donating FIVE books to the first FIVE families that show up in each session!
After story time, head across the street to North Market for lunch! The Sandwich Club will be serving up a special LASAA-themed sandwich, and with every purchase, you’ll receive a $5 coupon toward your ticket to LASAA, Read With Me MN’s upcoming fundraiser. LASAA (Live Action Silent Art Auction) takes place on August 8 at The Hennepin in downtown Minneapolis and features an evening of live music, performances, and a chance to bid on over 60 original works of visual art created by local artists. It’s a night that celebrates creativity, community, and literacy in support of our mission to close the literacy achievement gap.
